NEWS UPDATE
Members, at the last QGM in November 2009, voted that this year's theme for the Della Fitzsimon's Award would be SILVER, in honour of Macknit's 25th birthday.
"Any machine knitted item in silver tones"
Entries for the Della Award will be due at the Workshop being held at the Epping Creative Centre on Saturday 29th May or posted prior to that day to the Secretary. All entries will be displayed at the Craft & Quilt Show at Darling Harbour in June.
NEW CLASS IN THE 2010 ROYAL EASTER SHOW CLASS 133: Contemporary mixed media article. Minimum 70% to be machine knitted. One article.
Macknit will have a stall at the Show on Good Friday. Come and pay us a visit. Our insurance will not allow us to sell our garments to the public this year, but we will have a huge display which will generate a lot of interest.
Come along on Good Friday to the Craft Pavilion to visit the Macknit stall, and to see the quality of the entries in each of the machine knitting classes.

THE AUSTRALIAN WOOL FASHION AWARDS
As of the beginning of March this event has been cancelled - according to their website.
However, our knitted items are still wanted as there are delegates coming from overseas anyway - their flights are already organised. So keep knitting!
