DOUBLE BED & OTHER BITS
My name is Pamela Molloy, I am married with a daughter and a son. Both have their own families so are blessed with 5 grandchildren. My husband bought my first second hand knitting machine (he now refuses to acknowledge this). It was a push button Empisal
Now owning a number of machines; these include Singer and Brother punch card and electronic. I also have a Passap E 6000. Most of my knitting is done on the Japanese machines. My favourite being the Brother 940
I have been machine knitting for 43 years. Making garments for family and friends. I have been involved with presenting fashion parades and selling garments and accessories for fundraising even
I now knit for individual clients who I have met over the years. A number of fashion students use me as an outsource contact to produce their designs. My knit clubs are basic Japanese machines and Electronic club and both meet each month
This year we are concentrating on HANDS ON
It was my privilege to tutor in Victoria, NSW and WA on subjects such as KNITTING WITH ELASTIC, SKIRTS and THE LINKER. My interest at present is the double bed and what it can produce. I also love colour. With my knits small amounts of yarn as well as large quantities are used. I do not like to waste time or effort. My aim is to see if there is a quicker more efficient way to produce my knitwear
I feel machine knitting has so much to offer and manages to keep surprising all who are touched by the addiction. We all learn from each other and then do it in the way that suits us
I hope to share what I have been lucky enough to learn during the past 40 odd years, even maybe inspire knitters to knit something I have demonstrated
