The Royal Easter Show
Australia’s largest showcase of creativity, the Sydney Royal Arts & Crafts Competition features an incredible array of talent, with approximately 5,000 exhibits across 400 competition categories.
Each year our member submit entries into a variety of machine knitting categories and the prize money is sponsored by Macknit.

Entry Details
Maximum of one entry per Class.
THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTION APPLYS TO THE MACHINE KNITTING CLASSES;
> Shank Buttons, ribbon, beads, and twisted cord are not permitted in baby’s wear.
(S665) - Cash Prize for the Best Exhibit in Machine Knitting Classes 116 to 120, supported by Macknit Inc NSW Machine Knitters Association. Prize $150
CLASS 116 - Baby Children’s wear. One article or set. Prize 1st $50
CLASS 117 - Cape, Shrug or Shawl. One article. Prize 1st $50
CLASS 118 - Adult garment. One article. Prize 1st $50
CLASS 119 - Novice. Open only to Exhibitors who have not won a prize in a similar Class at a previous Sydney Royal Easter Show. One article to be machine knitted. Prize 1st $50
CLASS 120 - Any other machine knitted article or set. Minimum 70% to be machine knitted. Can include, but not limited to, hats, socks, gloves, cushion covers, tea cosies, rugs, or mixed media. Prize 1st $50
